Diarra is heading to Egypt! The striker from Cercle de Bamako, Ismail Diarra, has signed a 4-year contract with an Egyptian club. The club announced on its website that Diarra will be registered for both the Arab Champion’s League and the African Confederations Cup.
Ismail Diarra, aged 22, was recruited from Ismaily to fill the gap left by the Libyan player Nader Al-Tarhoni, who was released by the club. Diarra had a successful season, finishing the Confederations Cup with 5 goals. Having been with Cercle since 2002, he secured the championship this season.
The Egyptian championship, which had been suspended for almost a year, is set to resume on February 2.
