Elodie Nakkach, a key player for Morocco’s national women’s football team, has signed with Saudi Arabian side Al-Ahli SC, marking the beginning of a new chapter in her career. After three successful seasons with Servette Football Club in Switzerland, the versatile defender is set to showcase her talents in the growing Saudi women’s football league.

Al-Ahli SC has secured the services of the experienced Moroccan international, who has built an impressive resume across several European clubs.

Nakkach has previously played for teams such as EJS Lafarge, CS Feytiat, Limoges Landouge, ASJ Soyaux, La Roche-sur-Yon, and Dijon FCO before her move to Servette.

With this latest transfer, she will now test her skills in the Saudi Women’s Premier League.

Servette FCCF, Nakkach’s former club, announced her departure with a statement on their official website, reflecting on her significant contribution over the past three seasons.

“Every beautiful story must one day come to an end,” read the press release. “Arriving in the summer of 2021 from Dijon, Elodie Nakkach will have lived three full seasons in Geneva.

With two Swiss Cups and a Swiss Champion title acquired last year, she leaves Servette FCCF through the front door after having left her mark on the young history of the Grenat.”

The club also extended their gratitude to the Moroccan star, highlighting her dedication and professionalism during her time in Switzerland.

“The entire club would first like to thank Elodie for her selflessness, her professionalism, and her involvement since the very first day, and then to wish her every success for her professional future!” the statement added, underscoring her impact on the team.

Nakkach’s arrival at Al-Ahli SC is seen as a significant move for the Saudi club as they prepare for the new season.

Al-Ahli SC will kick off their Saudi Arabian Women’s Premier League campaign with a match against Al-Amal SC on Friday, September 27, 2024, at the King Fahd Sports City Stadium in Taeif.

Nakkach’s wealth of experience, coupled with her international pedigree as a member of the Atlas Lionesses, is expected to bring strength and leadership to Al-Ahli SC

. Her achievements in Europe, particularly with Servette, where she won multiple domestic titles, make her a valuable asset for the Saudi club as they aim for success in the rapidly growing league.

As the Saudi Arabian women’s league continues to attract top talent from around the world, Nakkach’s transfer marks another milestone in the league’s development, showcasing the increasing opportunities for women’s football in the region.

All eyes will be on the Moroccan star as she embarks on this new journey, with fans eager to see how she will adapt to her latest challenge.
