Morocco U-20 women’s team to face Venezuela and Austria in World Cup preparations

The Morocco U-20 women’s national football team is set to face Venezuela and Austria in two friendly matches as part of their preparation for the upcoming FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia.

These matches will take place in Vienna on Friday, July 12, 2024, and Tuesday, July 16, 2024.

These friendlies are part of a comprehensive training program designed to get the team ready for the intense competition they will face in Colombia.

The FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup is scheduled to take place from August 31 to September 22, 2024.

The draw for the World Cup placed Morocco in Group C, alongside some of the tournament’s toughest competitors: Spain, the United States, and Paraguay.

Facing such strong teams in the group stage underscores the importance of thorough preparation, making these friendly matches crucial for the Moroccan squad.

In anticipation of the tournament, the Moroccan Football Federation has called up 29 players, including 21 professionals, to join the training camp.
