Primero de Agosto has secured its first recruit of the transfer window, announcing the arrival of Zambian striker Félix Bulaya on loan from Red Arrows. The move, made official on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, sees the talented forward joining the Angolan club for the upcoming Girabola season.

In preparation for the new season, Primero de Agosto has bolstered its attacking options with the addition of Bulaya.

The Zambian international, formerly a key player for Red Arrows, is set to bring his skills and experience to the military club.

“The Primero de Agosto team has obtained the loan of Zambian striker Félix Bulaya from Red Arrows.

The Zambian international striker has signed a contractual guarantee for one season,” the club announced via social media. Bulaya’s tenure with Primero de Agosto is set to run until June 2025.

Félix Bulaya’s football journey began in Zambia. He started his career with Son Leopard FC, showcasing his potential and earning a move to Zanaco FC for a season.

His impressive performances caught the eye of Red Arrows, a Zambian military club, which signed him on January 1, 2023.

During his time with Red Arrows, Bulaya established himself as a vital player, contributing significantly to the club’s third championship title.

At 27 years old, Bulaya is ready for a new challenge. His move to Primero de Agosto marks his first venture into the Angolan Girabola league, where he aims to make a substantial impact.

The Angolan club, a 13-time league champion with its last title in 2019, had a disappointing 2023-2024 season, finishing 7th with 8 wins, 14 draws, and 7 losses.

Determined to improve their fortunes, the club’s management has begun strengthening the squad, with Bulaya’s acquisition being a key part of this strategy.

Bulaya’s transfer to Primero de Agosto is seen as a strategic move to rejuvenate the team’s attacking prowess.

His experience and goal-scoring ability are expected to provide a significant boost to the squad.

The Zambian striker’s versatility and knack for finding the back of the net will be crucial as the Angolan club seeks to reclaim its dominance in the Girabola.

The move also offers Bulaya an opportunity to broaden his horizons and gain experience in a different competitive environment.

His performance in the Angolan league will be closely watched by both clubs and fans, with high hopes that he will replicate his success from the Zambian league.

Primero de Agosto’s board of directors is clearly focused on revamping the team after a lackluster season.

The addition of Félix Bulaya is just the beginning of their efforts to rebuild and strengthen the squad.

As the club aims to return to its winning ways, the presence of a proven striker like Bulaya is expected to play a pivotal role.

For Bulaya, this move represents a significant step in his career, providing him with a platform to showcase his talent on a larger stage.

His loan spell at Primero de Agosto is anticipated to be a mutually beneficial arrangement, with both the player and the club looking forward to a successful partnership in the upcoming season.
