Algerian football club JS Kabylie has announced the termination of their contract with goalkeeper Chamseddine Rahmani, marking the end of a brief yet eventful collaboration.
In a press release issued on Sunday, June 30, JS Kabylie confirmed that the decision to part ways with Rahmani was reached amicably, highlighting mutual agreement between the player and the club.
Rahmani, who joined JS Kabylie on a free transfer from CS Constantine in July 2023, was initially signed for a two-season stint.
However, after just one season with the club, both parties have opted to terminate the contract prematurely.
“We inform our dear supporters that the termination of the contract linking Chamseddine Rahmani to JSK was recorded by mutual agreement between the two parties.
We sincerely and warmly thank Rahmani,” the club’s official statement read.
Chamseddine Rahmani’s tenure at JS Kabylie was marked by both highs and lows. Shortly after his arrival, the 33-year-old goalkeeper faced a setback when he suffered a serious shoulder injury in December 2023.
The injury necessitated surgery and sidelined Rahmani for over two months, impacting his playing time and contribution to the team.
During his time with the Yellows, Rahmani featured prominently in 17 Ligue 1 matches, securing six clean sheets but conceding a total of 14 goals.
His performance on the field, coupled with his injury recovery process, shaped a challenging season for the Annaba native at JS Kabylie.
As JS Kabylie and Chamseddine Rahmani part ways, both parties expressed gratitude for the professional collaboration.
The goalkeeper’s departure opens new opportunities for both the club and the player as they navigate the upcoming football season.
Rahmani’s next career move remains uncertain, with the Algerian goalkeeper evaluating potential opportunities within and outside the Algerian football landscape.
His experience and skill set are expected to attract interest from clubs seeking reinforcement in the goalkeeping department.
The termination of Chamseddine Rahmani’s contract with JS Kabylie underscores the dynamic nature of football contracts and player-team relationships in the professional sports arena.
As he bids farewell to JS Kabylie, Rahmani leaves behind a legacy of resilience and commitment, contributing his talent to the club during his tenure.
