Achraf Hakimi, the celebrated Moroccan international and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) right-back, has landed in Tanzania for a holiday break following a grueling season. However, his visit is not solely for relaxation; it also encompasses significant humanitarian efforts.

Earlier this week, Hakimi touched down in Tanzania, accompanied by his family and close friends.

he Atlas Lion, who boasts 77 international caps and 9 goals, shared his adventure with his followers by posting pictures of the Tanzanian wildlife on his official Instagram account.

These images showcase the natural beauty of the country, highlighting Hakimi’s affinity for exploring diverse cultures and environments.

This trip marks Hakimi’s return to Tanzania, a country he previously visited while on international duty with the Moroccan national team.

Unlike his past visits, this journey extends beyond football and leisure. Hakimi has a humanitarian mission to fulfill, aiming to make a positive impact on the local community.

His focus is on the Pantandi School in Arusha, where he is working to support disabled children through a partnership with his foundation.

Hakimi’s foundation’s first event outside Morocco in Africa is taking place in Tanzania.

The right-back expressed his commitment to the cause by sharing heartfelt moments on Instagram, where he posed with the students on the sidelines of an exhibition match.

“This is our first event outside of Morocco in Africa! Together with the ministry, we are bringing vital supplies to support these incredible children,” he wrote, emphasizing the significance of the initiative.

Le360 Sport reports that Hakimi’s efforts have directly benefited over 400 students at the Pantandi School.

This initiative was sparked by a meeting with Hersi Ally, president of the Young Africans club, at the Parc des Princes.

Reflecting on this encounter, Hakimi said, “I want to thank my brother Hersi, with whom we spoke a long time ago when I saw him in Paris at the stadium.

I said that I wanted to go to Tanzania with him. Thank you for allowing me to do this kind of thing. I hope this is the first part of a long story together.”

Hakimi’s visit to Tanzania also rekindles memories of his last match in the country, held in Dar es Salaam on November 21, 2023.

In this crucial fixture, part of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, Hakimi and the Moroccan national team emerged victorious with a 2-0 win.

This victory underscored Hakimi’s prowess on the field and his unwavering commitment to his national team.

Achraf Hakimi’s trip to Tanzania exemplifies a multifaceted journey that blends leisure, cultural exploration, and humanitarian work.

By leveraging his status as a football star, Hakimi continues to make a tangible difference off the field, demonstrating the profound impact athletes can have on communities worldwide.

His dedication to supporting disabled children in Tanzania highlights a compassionate side of the athlete, resonating deeply with fans and followers alike.
