Moise Adilehou joins Stade Lavallois: A new chapter in French football
Beninese international Moise Adilehou has officially joined Stade Lavallois, marking his return to French football. The central defender, who previously played for Maccabi Petah Tikva in the Israeli Premier League, has signed a three-year contract with the French Ligue 2 club.
This move brings Adilehou back to his homeland, France, where he was born in Colombes and trained at Valenciennes.
At 28, he arrives at Stade Lavallois after a successful season in Israel’s top division, during which he made 30 appearances across all competitions for Maccabi Petah Tikva.
This signing represents a significant opportunity for Adilehou to establish himself in French professional football, a goal that has eluded him until now.
Adilehou’s arrival at Stade Lavallois is met with enthusiasm and high expectations from the club’s leadership.
Club president Laurent Lairy expressed his confidence in the new signing, emphasizing both his athletic performance and character.
“His arrival opens a chapter I am very excited about,” Lairy remarked.
“He has had a long career abroad, spanning 13 seasons and eight different clubs, but he ticks all the boxes for us in terms of sporting performance and behavior.
His friend Jordan Adeoti spoke highly of him.”
The club’s technical director, Olivier Frapolli, echoed these sentiments, highlighting Adilehou’s versatility and defensive skills.
“He is a fast, complete defender with experience in various systems,” Frapolli noted.
“He enjoys duels and is very clean in his interventions.” These qualities are expected to significantly bolster Stade Lavallois’ defensive line as they aim to improve on their 7th place finish in Ligue 2 last season.
At Stade Lavallois, Adilehou will reunite with his compatriot Jordan Adeoti, adding an element of familiarity and camaraderie to his new environment.
This connection could prove beneficial as Adilehou integrates into the team and adapts to the demands of French football.
The signing of Adilehou is part of Stade Lavallois’ broader strategy to strengthen their squad and push for higher achievements in the upcoming season.
With his extensive experience in international football and his recent form in Israel, Adilehou is expected to be a key player for the club.
For Moise Adilehou, joining Stade Lavallois represents a fresh start and an opportunity to make a significant impact in French football.
His journey from Valenciennes to various clubs across Europe and Israel has equipped him with a wealth of experience that he now brings to Laval.
As he embarks on this new chapter, both Adilehou and Stade Lavallois are hopeful that this partnership will yield great success on the pitch.
With the support of the club’s leadership and the familiarity of a compatriot teammate, Adilehou is well-positioned to thrive in his new environment.
Fans of Stade Lavallois will be eagerly watching to see how this promising defender contributes to the team’s ambitions in the coming seasons.
