Julien Chevalier set to become AS FAR de Rabat’s new coach
AS FAR de Rabat is poised to appoint Julien Chevalier as their new head coach, following the departure of Nasreddine Nabi to South Africa’s Kaizer Chiefs. The Moroccan club is reportedly finalizing a two-year contract with the Frenchman, set to run until 2026.
In a swift move to fill the coaching vacancy, AS FAR de Rabat has turned to Chevalier, who is currently with ASEC Mimosas of Ivory Coast.
The 43-year-old French coach has spent five successful seasons with ASEC Mimosas, earning a reputation for his tactical acumen and leadership skills.
Chevalier’s appointment comes on the heels of Nasreddine Nabi’s exit, who left before completing his tenure with the Royal Army club.
The French coach’s experience in African football, particularly his achievements with ASEC Mimosas, makes him a promising candidate to lead AS FAR de Rabat.
In addition to the coaching change, AS FAR de Rabat has also announced the upcoming appointment of Hamidou Ourga as the new technical director.
Ourga, a seasoned professional with extensive experience in Moroccan football, is set to join the club on a two-year contract.
Ourga, 59, has been serving as the technical director for Chabab Mohammedia for the past seven years.
His extensive background in developing football strategies and nurturing young talent is expected to bring valuable insights and direction to AS FAR de Rabat.
The dual appointments of Julien Chevalier as head coach and Hamidou Ourga as technical director mark a significant strategic shift for AS FAR de Rabat.
The club is looking to build on its storied history and achieve greater success in both domestic and continental competitions.
Julien Chevalier’s coaching philosophy emphasizes tactical discipline and fostering young talent, which aligns well with AS FAR de Rabat’s vision for the future.
His tenure at ASEC Mimosas saw the team achieve notable successes, and his transition to the Moroccan club is anticipated to bring a fresh approach to their gameplay.
Hamidou Ourga’s role will be crucial in providing strategic oversight and ensuring the long-term development of the club’s footballing philosophy.
His experience at Chabab Mohammedia, where he was instrumental in shaping the club’s technical framework, will be invaluable in his new role.
AS FAR de Rabat is gearing up for an exciting new chapter under the guidance of Julien Chevalier and Hamidou Ourga.
The club’s management is confident that these appointments will strengthen their squad and enhance their performance on the field.
Chevalier will be expected to hit the ground running, implementing his tactical vision and driving the team to compete at the highest level.
Meanwhile, Ourga’s role will be pivotal in ensuring that the club’s technical and strategic initiatives are aligned with their long-term goals.
The club’s supporters will be eagerly watching to see how these changes impact the team’s performance.
With a blend of experienced leadership and fresh tactical approaches, AS FAR de Rabat aims to reclaim its position as a dominant force in Moroccan football.
