Newcastle is considering recruiting Modibo Maïga, 25, as a potential replacement for the departing Demba Ba (who is expected to move to Chelsea). According to the Daily Mail, the Malian international striker from West Ham is being considered by Newcastle as an option in case the pursuit of Loïc Rémy (26 years old, Olympique de Marseille) is unsuccessful. Maïga had previously been on Newcastle’s radar a few months ago and is now reportedly on the club’s shortlist.
