Valenciennes midfielder, Algerian Foued Kadir, has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with Olympique de Marseille (OM). The player attracted interest from several clubs, including Bordeaux, Lyon, and Borussia Mönchengladbach.
OM’s Sporting Director, José Anigo, mentioned that the transfer is imminent, with the club waiting for the winter market to open to finalize the deal. Foued Kadir is expected to wear the Marseille jersey upon the team’s return to action after the winter break. Anigo emphasized Kadir’s significance in the team’s plans for the rest of the season, acknowledging him as a valuable player. The completion of the transfer is anticipated following Kadir’s participation in the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN). Additionally, goalkeeper Brice Samba is expected to join OM as the number two goalkeeper.
