As reported by Africa Top Sports a few days ago, Yannick Bolasie has been facing uncertainty about joining the DR Congo Leopards for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN). Consequently, coach Claude Le Roy, already focused on the upcoming competition, has decided to remove Bolasie from the provisional list of 28 players.
Yannick Bolasie, who plays for Crystal Palace, has been replaced by Yves Diba, a member of a club in Saudi Arabia. Diba will join the team in Oman from Friday for the group’s final training camp. The final squad of 23 players will be announced on January 9, and DR Congo begins its CAN campaign on January 20 in Port Elizabeth against Ghana.
