Michel Seydoux, the president and majority shareholder of LOSC, has once again mentioned the possibility of departing from the club. He emphasized that there is no set timeline for this decision, and there is no immediate urgency.
While acknowledging that their current league position (8th place, 9 points behind PSG) does not align with the club’s ambitions, Seydoux expressed confidence in the potential of Rudi Garcia’s squad. He believes they have the capabilities to achieve a higher standing in the Championship. Seydoux identified the League Cup as a competition closest to the major objectives of the club.
Reflecting on his long tenure as president, Seydoux stated that he has been contemplating and systematically preparing for his succession for many months and years. Recently, after a decade in the presidency, he has expedited the process by engaging an expert firm to explore the best solutions for the club’s future. Seydoux reiterated that there is no rush to determine the timetable for his departure and emphasized that his succession will only occur when an entrepreneur presents the best project, with the most substantial guarantees and ambitious plans for the club.
