Yaya Touré has been crowned the best African footballer of the year for the second consecutive time at the Glo-CAF awards gala held in Accra, Ghana. The Manchester City midfielder was awarded ahead of his compatriot Didier Drogba and Barcelona’s Cameroonian midfielder Alexander Song. Yaya Touré played a key role in Manchester City’s English title victory and was a finalist at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations, where Zambia emerged victorious.
