Moroccan footballer Yahya Attiat-Allah set for departure from Sochi

Yahya Attiat-Allah, the Moroccan left-back who rose to prominence during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, is poised to depart from Russian club FK Sochi following their relegation from the top tier.

Attiat-Allah’s meteoric rise captured the attention of football enthusiasts worldwide during his tenure with Wydad Casablanca, where he showcased his formidable talent as a left-sided defender on the international stage.

His performances in Qatar attracted interest from several clubs, including Montpellier, although a move failed to materialize at the time.

After the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, Attiat-Allah made the bold decision to ply his trade in Russia, signing with FK Sochi.

However, his stint with the club coincided with a turbulent period, as Sochi struggled to maintain their position in the top flight, ultimately succumbing to relegation at the end of the 2023-2024 season.

In a bid to restore financial stability in the wake of relegation, FK Sochi is set to release several players, including Attiat-Allah, who will depart the club upon the expiration of his contract this summer.

Despite his relatively brief spell with Sochi, where he made eight appearances and found the net once, Attiat-Allah now faces the prospect of seeking a new challenge at the age of 29.

With his wealth of experience and proven ability, Attiat-Allah is poised to attract interest from clubs across Europe, particularly in France’s Ligue 1, where his skill set could prove invaluable to teams in need of defensive reinforcements.

As Attiat-Allah embarks on the next chapter of his career, the footballing world awaits with anticipation to see where his journey will take him.

With his talent and determination, Attiat-Allah is primed to make a significant impact wherever he lands, leaving an indelible mark on the sport he loves.
