Algerian international Rami Bensebaini has expressed his immense joy at his team’s qualification for the UEFA Champions League final after his teammates secured a 1-0 victory over Paris Saint-Germain.
Speaking to Qatari channel “BeIN Sports” following the match, Bensebaini said, “Thank God, we’ve achieved a historic qualification to the final. God helped us in today’s match.
Honestly, the game was tough for the team, and even though I was in the stands, I felt the intensity.”
When asked about the possibility of participating in the Champions League final, Bensebaini responded, “Honestly, I don’t know if I’ll be present and ready to play in the final or not, but all I can say is Alhamdulillah (thanks to God) for everything.”
The native of Constantine also commented on the match played at the Nouveau Stade de Prince, saying, “Today, we focused on the defensive side and counter-attacks.
The goal came from a corner, and after scoring, we focused on maintaining the lead, which we achieved.”
It’s worth noting that as a graduate of the Paradou Academy, Bensebaini is entitled to receive a medal in the final, whether it be gold or silver in the event of not clinching the title.
As is customary by UEFA, Bensebaini will be awarded 80 medals, 40 gold for the winners and 40 silver for the losing team.
