The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon have begun their preparations for the 2014 Brazil World Cup. Under the guidance of coach Volker Finke, the team has gathered in Austria.
All 28 selected players have reported for duty, except defender Benoit Assou Ekotto. The former Tottenham player is tied up with club commitments in England, according to press officer Raphael Nkoa.
After several training sessions on Tuesday, the team, led by captain Samuel Eto’o, held discussions with the coaching staff. Additionally, a meeting with the authorities is scheduled to discuss the bonuses for the team’s participation in the World Cup.
The training camp will continue until May 31 and will include friendly matches against Macedonia and Paraguay.
