In the search for Rémi Garde’s successor at Olympique Lyonnais, Antoine Kombouaré appears to be out of the running. During a press conference, Garde announced his departure from the club due to personal and family reasons, emphasizing that he won’t be coaching another team next season.
As rumors swirl about potential replacements, Kombouaré, the current coach of RC Lens, seems unlikely to take the helm at Lyon. Club president Jean-Michel Aulas indicated that Kombouaré’s existing relationship with Gervais Martel at Lens might rule him out as a candidate.
Additionally, the club’s legendary player Juninho, who lacks the necessary coaching diploma under new regulations, is also not in contention for the coaching role.
