Théophile Bola, a Congolese coach residing in France, has been appointed as the new head coach of Horoya AC, replacing Amara Traoré who was sacked due to poor performance. Bola is set to sign his contract in the coming days and will be officially unveiled as the new coach.
In an interview with foot224, Bola described his role as that of a “firefighter,” indicating his intent to rescue the struggling club. His immediate challenge will be to improve the team’s performance, as Horoya AC currently sits in third place in the league standings with 25 points, trailing behind US Kaloum (30 pts) and Séquence (27 pts).
Bola’s first test as Horoya AC’s head coach will be on Tuesday evening against Soumba in the championship match.
