Yaya Touré has expressed his desire to leave Manchester City, according to his agent who spoke to the Sun. The Ivorian midfielder is reportedly unhappy with the way the club has treated him, particularly after they failed to acknowledge his 31st birthday last week.
“Yaya is so angry he’s considering leaving City. Several incidents have deeply upset him… City treated him with disrespect and hurt him emotionally. It’s not about money or a new contract; it’s about human relationships, and City have shown they don’t value that. I repeat, it’s not a money issue,” said Dimitri Seluk, Touré’s agent and former Barcelona player.
This isn’t the first time Touré has considered leaving Manchester City. In previous instances in 2012 and 2013, a salary increase resolved the issues. After an exceptional season, winning the league title and the Carling Cup, Touré is seeking more recognition from his club.
