Dimitar Berbatov has made a strong impression since joining Monaco six months ago, earning the approval of the club’s leadership, who have decided to extend his contract by another year. The Bulgarian striker is now committed to Monaco until 2015.
Vadim Vassiliev, the vice-president of AS Monaco, expressed his satisfaction with Berbatov’s performance and the decision to retain him: “With AS Monaco, Dimitar showed all his talent. He is a great player, and we are very proud to have him for next season.”
Having arrived on a free transfer this winter, Berbatov was recently named the player of the month for April. With 6 goals and 2 assists in 11 matches, the former Manchester United player has proven to be a key contributor, and he will look to continue making an impact in Ligue 1 next season.
