Negotiations are currently in progress for Aymen Abdennour’s permanent transfer to Monaco. Despite arriving injured during the winter transfer window from Toulouse, the Tunisian defender is set to stay with the Rock club.
Monaco’s leadership is keen to exercise the option to purchase Abdennour, the agile Tunisian defender often referred to as the Eagle of Carthage. The former Etoile du Sahel player is expected to sign a contract with Monaco during the upcoming summer transfer window, with the transfer fee reportedly set at 13 million euros.
Finalization of the deal is anticipated to coincide with the arrival of Leonardo Jardim, who is set to succeed Claudio Ranieri as Monaco’s head coach. Jardim, the current coach of Sporting Portugal at 39 years old, is rumored to have committed to a two-year tenure with ASM.
