Mali emerged victorious in the African Military Football Cup, dethroning Cameroon in the final. The match took place at the Félix-Houphouët-Boigny stadium in Abidjan, with Mali securing a 1-0 victory over Cameroon. The only goal of the match was scored by Mali’s striker Traoré Adam in the 56th minute. The tournament’s organizer, Ivory Coast, secured the third-place position by defeating Kenya in the small final, winning on penalties with a score of 6-5 after a goalless 120 minutes of play. In addition to the championship trophy, Mali received a prize of 10 million CFA francs (approximately 15,244.9 euros), while Cameroon received 5 million FCFA (approximately 7,622.45 euros). These four teams—Mali, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, and Kenya—will represent Africa at the military world championships in Azerbaijan in July 2013, along with Algeria, the reigning world champion.
