Eric Gerets, recently relieved of his duties at Lekhwiya, wasted no time in finding a new coaching position. The seasoned Belgian coach has landed a job with Al Jazira club in the United Arab Emirates.
Reportedly, Gerets inked a two-year deal with the Abu Dhabi-based club, as per La Derniere Heure. This club boasts a notable history, having welcomed esteemed players like George Weah and Philip Cocu in the past. Gerets takes over from Italian manager Walter Zenga.
This move sees Gerets continue his coaching career in the Gulf region, bringing his wealth of experience to the UAE club.
