Newly appointed Sierra Leone head coach, Mohamed Kallon, has unveiled a 25-man squad of home-based players set to begin training ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Sierra Leone will face Guinea-Bissau and Egypt in crucial Matchday five and six fixtures next month.
The training camp kicks off in Freetown on Tuesday, with some of these local talents expected to secure spots in the final squad, which will also feature foreign-based players.
Currently, Sierra Leone sits level with Burkina Faso on five points in Group A. Guinea-Bissau holds second place with six points, while Egypt leads the group with ten.
Only the group winner will secure direct qualification for the 2026 World Cup, while the four best runners-up across the nine groups will enter a playoff for a chance at the intercontinental playoffs.
Kallon’s squad features five players from FC Kallon, with the remaining selections coming from other top domestic clubs.
Among the standout names is 24-year-old Bo Rangers forward Musa Noah Kamara, who has netted three international goals for the Leone Stars, including a crucial strike in their 2-2 draw against Ivory Coast at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
