Mali will set up camp in Morocco for their forthcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Comoros and the Central African Republic.
The Eagles are scheduled to play both fixtures on Moroccan soil due to the lack of approved stadiums in their opponents’ countries.
Comoros will host Mali at the Berkane Municipal Stadium on Friday, March 21, 2025, while the Central African Republic will face Mali at the Laarbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca on Monday, March 24, 2025.
Neutral Ground Advantage
Both Comoros and the Central African Republic opted to stage their home matches in Morocco as their respective stadiums do not meet international standards.
As a result, Mali’s entire training camp will take place in Morocco, eliminating the need for extensive travel.
Group Standings
Mali currently sits fourth in their qualifying group with five points, trailing leaders Comoros and Ghana, who are tied on nine points. Madagascar occupies third place with seven points.
The Eagles will be aiming to close the gap in the upcoming matches as they seek to boost their chances of securing a spot at the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
