Ghana captain Jordan Ayew is confident the Black Stars will secure victory against Madagascar in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
The Black Stars takes on Madagascar on Monday night in matchday six of the qualifiers at the Al Hoceima Grand Stadium in Morocco.
While Ghana sit top of the standings with 12 points, Madagascar occupies second spot with 10 points, just two behind the Black Stars, making the upcoming clash a difficult one.
And Jordan Ayew speaking ahead of the match affirmed the Black Stars will prevail against Madagascar.
“The first stage has been done against Chad and now we have to do it against Madagascar. The boys are ready and I’m fully confident that we will do it and make Ghana proud” he said.
The Leicester City star was on target when the Black Stars walloped Chad and will be hoping to add to his tally against Madagascar. Ayew has racked up five goals in the qualifiers for Ghana after five matches.
A win for the Black Stars on Monday will be crucial for Coach Otto Addo’s side, ensuring that they improve their chances of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
