Comoros will take on Chad on Tuesday, March 25, in Round 6 of the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The national teams of the two countries are scheduled to lock horns later tonight in a Group I encounter.
Comoros started their qualification campaign strongly but recently suffered a heavy setback, falling 3-0 to Mali at Stade Municipal de Berkane in Morocco.
Despite the defeat, Comoros remain in contention for qualification, sitting six points behind Group I leaders Ghana.
Chad, meanwhile, have endured a difficult qualification run, losing all five of their matches. They have scored just once while conceding 14 goals, including a 5-0 thrashing by Ghana in their last match on Friday.
Head-To-Head:
The two sides have only met once before in international competition, with Comoros claiming a 2-0 victory in June 2024 during the current World Cup qualifiers.
Historically, Comoros have struggled in past World Cup qualifying campaigns but have won three of their five matches in this edition.
Chad, on the other hand, have not won a World Cup qualifier since their 1-0 triumph over Egypt in November 2015, losing seven and drawing one of their last eight matches.
Prediction:
Having failed to win any of its five matches in Group I, Chad looks unlikely to cause any danger to Comoros.
Comoros is predicted to secure a convincing win at the end of the contest.
