2026 World Cup Qualifiers: Coach Eric Chelle ready to field strong team to conquer South Africa
The head coach of Nigeria, Eric Chelle, has indicated that he will be fielding his best eleven in the clash against South Africa in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The Super Eagles coach and his team will take on the Bafana Bafana on Tuesday evening in a must-win game to stay in contention for qualification to next year’s World Cup.
Speaking in a pre-match interview, Coach Eric Chelle noted that his team is determined to take all three points from South Africa.
“We have come here to play for the three points, so we will be sending out the team that will get the job done. We are happy to have overcome Rwanda but we have to conquer here tomorrow in order to be in a good position for the qualification,” the Coach said in his pre-match interview.
The clash between South Africa and Nigeria is scheduled to kick off at 5 pm at Toyota Stadium.
The winner of the tie will get closer to securing qualification to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
