The Nigeria Football Federation has confirmed that the Super Eagles will open their training camp in Rabat on November 9 ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup African Zone playoffs.

The team is set to face Gabon in a crucial semifinal clash on Thursday, November 13, with the winner advancing to meet either DR Congo or Cameroon in the final.

The Confederation of African Football is scheduled to conduct a draw tomorrow to determine which of Rabat’s two stadiums will host the semifinal matches.

The options are the El Barid Stadium and the Prince Moulay El Hassan Sports Complex. The final will be staged at the larger Prince Moulay El Hassan Stadium.

NFF president Ibrahim Gusau expressed confidence in the team’s preparations, stating that every effort is being made to ensure the Super Eagles are fully equipped to win the playoff.

He also emphasised the players’ motivation, driven by the dream of competing at the FIFA World Cup finals.

“Every preparation needed to see the team soar to victory will be made.

“And I believe the players are additionally motivated by the keen desire for every professional footballer to feature at the FIFA World Cup finals,” he said.
