2026 WAFCON Qualifiers: Super Falcons mentally and physically ready to beat Benin – Chiamaka Nnadozie
Nigeria Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has indicated that players are physically and mentally prepared to beat Benin in their upcoming 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifiers.
The first leg of the tie will be played on Friday, October 24.
Speaking during her pre-match press conference at the Togo Football Association headquarters, the Brighton & Hove Albion goalkeeper expressed gratitude to Nigerian supporters for their continuous backing and promised that the team is ready to reward their loyalty with another win.
“I want to say a big thank you to all the Nigerian fans. They’ve been so amazing, they’ve been supportive. They’ve been with us from day one. They came all the way to Morocco, they supported us, they gave everything to us. The only way we can pay them back is to keep winning,” Nnadozie said.
She added, “The spirit is very high. From the day we knew we were going to face Benin Republic, we’ve been communicating on how we can defeat them. We are mentally and physically prepared.”
The Super Falcons will be aiming to take a strong advantage into the reverse fixture as they continue their journey toward qualification for the 2026 WAFCON and the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
