The Black Queens of Ghana will face Egypt in the second round of qualifiers for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in October.
The West African country will begin their quest for back-to-back WAFCON tournaments with a two-legged game against the North African side.
This comes following Egypt’s 3-2 aggregate win over Rwanda in the first round of qualifiers earlier this week.
Having booked their place in this year’s WAFCON edition fr the first time since 2018, Kim Lars Bjorkegren’s side will be hoping to make it two consecutive appearances in the continental tournament.
The team booked a place in Morocco for the 2025 edition under Nora Hauptle following their win over Namibia in the last round of qualifiers.
The second-round games are scheduled to be played between October 20 and 28, 2025.
The 2026 WAFCON will also be held in Morocco.
