In a thrilling World Cup qualifying clash at Stade Felix Houphouet-Boigny, Madagascar secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Comoros to keep their campaign on track.

The match kicked off with Madagascar showing their intent early, as Clement Couturier put them ahead in the 11th minute with a clinical finish. Comoros tried to respond but struggled to break down a resolute defense.

As the second half wore on, tension mounted, and Madagascar doubled their lead in the 73rd minute through El Hadary Raheriniaina, seemingly putting the game out of reach for the hosts. Yet Comoros refused to give in. Driven on by their passionate fans, they clawed a goal back in the 81st minute when Rafiki Saïd found the net after a neat assist from Bendjaloud Youssouf.
