Kenya put up a spirited performance on Thursday night to rally from two goals down to hold Gambia to a 3-3 draw in the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The national teams of the two countries locked horns in Round 5 of the qualification games in Group F.
On the matchday, Gambia, playing as the host dominated the first half and should have led at halftime.
Unfortunately, a penalty kick award to the team in the 30th minute was wasted by Musa Barrow.
Ten minutes into the second half, Barrow made up for his missed penalty in the first half when he scored with a fine effort.
Six minutes later, Gambia increased their lead through Yakuba Minteh after he was set up by Joseph Ceesay.
While it appeared Gambia would run riot over Kenya, the visiting team managed to find a way back into the game.
Goals from Michael Olunga and Mohammed Bajaber in the 69th and 75th minutes respectively restored parity to the game.
Despite a third goal from Musa Barrow giving Gambia a 3-2 lead, Kenya in injury time equalised through William Wilson to force the match to end in a thrilling 3-3 draw.
The result leaves Kenya and Gambia in fourth and fifth positions respectively in the Group F standings.
