The head coach of Egypt, Hossam Hassan, has named his squad for the final round of games in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

In the October international break, the Pharaohs will face off with Djibouti and Guinea-Bissau as they look to secure their place at next year’s global tournament.

The squad features a mix of experience and youth, with captain Mohamed Salah leading a strong group that includes Mahmoud Trezeguet, Ahmed Sayed “Zizo”, and Mostafa Mohamed.

Plan for the Camp

Team manager Ibrahim Hassan confirmed that the national team camp will open in Cairo before the squad departs for Morocco on Monday, October 6.

Egypt will take on Djibouti on October 8 in the ninth round of the African qualifiers. The team will then return to Cairo on October 9 to continue preparations ahead of their final group fixture against Guinea-Bissau on October 12 at the Cairo International Stadium.
