The head coach of the Super Eagles, Eric Sekou Chelle, has stressed that he is determined to provide opportunities for Nigerian Premier League players in the national team.

To show the way, Coach Eric Chelle has invited 10 players from the Nigerian Premier League to his Super Eagles squad for the 2025 Unity Cup and the friendly match against Russia.
“We have a lot of players back home in the Nigerian League; we need to give these players the opportunity to show us their quality,” Coach Eric Chelle said.
The 2025 Unity Cup is a four-nation tournament being played in England from May 27 to May 31.
Nigeria will face Ghana in the semi-final of the tournament, scheduled to be played on Wednesday, May 27.
The match will kick off at 6 pm at the Brentford Community Stadium.
Several of the players invited from the Nigerian Premier League are expected to be given the chance to play in the game against the Black Stars.
