Head coach of Ghana’s U20 national team, Desmond Ofei, has noted that his team has a clear game plan on how to overcome Egypt in the quarter-final of the 2025 CAF U20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Speaking in a pre-match interview, the coach stated that his team has prepared for the 90 minutes, having in mind that there is the possibility of extra time and penalties.
“They [the players] want to show Ghana that they are the future of our football. Tomorrow, they will give their best. We are prepared for anything—extra time, penalties, whatever comes. But we are coming into this with a clear game plan, and we aim to execute it with strength and belief,” Coach Desmond Ofei said as quoted on the Ghana FA website.
Ghana’s Black Satellites are scheduled for a tough quarter-final clash against the host nation on Monday, May 12.
The showdown will kick off at 3 pm at Suez Stadium.
Both national teams will be eager to secure a win for a chance to qualify for the FIFA U20 World Cup.
