South Africa defender Tylon Smith has been named Man of the Match after scoring the winning goal against Nigeria in the semi-finals of the 2025 CAF U20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The hard-fought win has propelled South Africa to the finals for a chance to win the ultimate prize.
The semi-final match played on Thursday, May 15, provided a lot of excitement for fans as both teams gave their best in a bid to earn the victory.
Despite a spirited effort from both teams in the first half, neither side could find the back of the net.
The breakthrough came in the 64th minute after recess when Neo Rapoo set up Tylon Smith to score the only goal of the contest.
