The Minister of Youth and Sports for Egypt, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, has urged the Young Pharaohs to give their all on Thursday when they take on Morocco’s U20 national team in the semi-finals of the 2025 CAF U20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
At a meeting with the team, Sobhi stressed the importance of winning the semi-final clash to advance to the final and get closer to clinching the trophy.
He assured the team that the whole of Egypt believes in them and will support them on the matchday to earn the win.
“You are now representing Egypt in one of the most important stages of your career, and we are well aware that you have the fighting spirit and will that qualify you to make a difference. We believe in you and stand behind you, and we expect you to perform honourably, befitting the Egyptian flag,” Ashraf Sobhi said.
The semi-final showdown between Egypt and Morocco in the 2025 CAF U20 Africa Cup of Nations will kick off at 6 pm on Thursday, May 15.
