Al Ahly attacker Ahmed Sayed Zizo has assured fans that players are determined to fight for a win in their next match at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup against FC Porto.
After two games in Group A, Al Ahly are without a win, having drawn goalless with Inter Miami and lost 2-0 to Brazilian side Palmeiras.
Speaking to MBC Masr 2 ahead of the final group game, Zizo said, “God willing, we will fight in the next match against Porto, and we have a chance to qualify for the next round.”
He continued, “There was no reason for us to retreat in the second half, but this is football. A goal that came from a mistake went against the flow of the game completely. I have nothing else to say except that we will prepare well for the next match.
“We certainly haven’t lost hope, and God willing, we’ll play with even more focus and be successful. The players are giving 200%.”
The match between Al Ahly and FC Porto will be played on Tuesday, June 24.
