The head coach of Al Ahly, José Ribeiro, has stressed that his team is determined to secure a positive result against Palmeiras in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
The Egyptian side will take on the team from Brazil on Thursday, June 19, in what will be their second Group A game at the ongoing tournament in the United States of America.
Speaking in his pre-match interview, Coach José Ribeiro spoke highly about Palmeiras while indicating that Al Ahly have prepared well and will be aiming for a good result at the end of the contest.
“Palmeiras is one of the best teams in the Club World Cup, and they are stable with their current coach, who has played many matches with them over the past few seasons.
“Palmeiras is an experienced team that has played many tough matches, and they put in a strong performance against Porto in the first round. Al Ahly players have a strong desire to achieve a good result,” José Ribeiro said.
Al Ahly commenced their campaign at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup with a goalless draw against Inter Miami.
The team will finish the group stage with a final match against Portuguese club FC Porto.
