The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup match between Al Ahly and Palmeiras has been suspended 18 minutes into the second half.
The match officials of the game were forced to suspend the match as a result of adverse weather conditions.
As things stand, it is unclear when the match will resume as match officials continue to monitor the weather to see if it will get better.
Before the match was suspended, Palmeiras were leading by two goals to nil, both goals scored in the second half after a goalless draw in the first 45 minutes.
The Brazilians opened the scoring in the 49th minute after Al Ahly striker Wessam Abou Ali headed the ball into his net.
Later in the 59th minute, Flaco Lopez scored to double the lead for Palmeiras after a swift counterattack.
