South Africa’s U15 Girls team put on a show on Thursday, April 24, thrashing The Gambia 5-0 in the 2025 CAF African Schools Football Champions.
The championship, being hosted in Accra, Ghana, officially kicked off on Wednesday, April 23.
In their opening match of the tournament, South Africa’s U15 Girls suffered a 1-0 defeat to Uganda.
Today, the team put that setback behind them and went into their second encounter against The Gambia determined to bounce back with a win.
In the game played at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, South Africa dominated the Gambia and run riot with a 5-0 win to pick their first win of the Championship.
