Ghana’s U15 Girls team made history on Saturday, defeating Uganda’s U15 Girls team 2-0 to win the 2025 CAF African Schools Football Championship.
This is the first time Ghana’s U15 Girls have won the tournament since it started three editions ago.
The four-day tournament is an initiative of CAF under President Dr. Patrice Motsepe to provide a platform for the next generation of African stars to display their talent.
This year’s edition was hosted at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium in Accra, Ghana.
In the final of the U15 Girls tournament, Ghana locked horns with Uganda in a thrilling contest.
The hosts fought harder than the opponent, scoring two goals to secure a 2-0 win and win the 2025 CAF African Schools Football Championship.
For winning the Cup, Ghana’s U15 Girls team will receive an amount of $300,000 from CAF through the Motsepe Foundation.

Meanwhile, Ghana’s U15 Boys tournament settled for Bronze after defeating Uganda 2-1 to claim third place at the CAF African Schools Football Championship.
