Egyptian forward, Mostafa Mohamed, has stressed that Egypt will respect all countries they will face at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
He is of the view that all national teams that will compete at the tournament in Morocco are good, insisting that there is nothing like a small team or a big team.
“We can’t judge any team in the tournament and say that this team is big or small because there are many African players who are professionals abroad, and if we rely on the name of our team only, we can lose,” Mostafa Mohamed told beIN Sports.
The forward continued, “Maybe there are teams that people look at as weak, but we as a team look at them very respectfully because our goal is to lift the trophy.”
The 2025 African Nations tournament will be held in Morocco from December 21 to January 18, 2026.
Egypt is in Group A and will compete with South Africa, Angola and Zimbabwe.
The Pharaohs just like every other AFCON tournament, will be heading into the tournament as one of the favourites.
