2025 Africa Cup of Nations: Nigeria to hold pre-tournament camp in Egypt
Nigeria’s Super Eagles will set up camp in Egypt next month as part of their preparations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, Africasoccer can report.
The team is scheduled to assemble on December 10 before moving into a key warm-up fixture against the Pharaohs four days later in Cairo, a match expected to offer valuable insight ahead of the continental showpiece.
The friendly against Egypt comes at a crucial moment for the three-time African champions, who will face Tunisia in Group C when the tournament gets underway.
The test against another North African opponent is viewed as an ideal simulation of what awaits them in Morocco.
CAF regulations allow participating nations to arrive in Morocco five days before the opening match of the tournament, which begins on December 21.
This means Nigeria’s final adjustments will take shape once the team touches down for the competition proper.
Having missed out on qualification to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, there are high expectations for the Super Eagles to give it their all to win the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
