2025 AFCON: Injured Achraf Hakimi leads Morocco squad as Walid Regragui announces final squad for tournament
Morocco head coach Walid Regragui has revealed his final squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), with the team set to compete on home soil.
Goalkeeper Yassine Bounou will lead the trio between the posts, flanked by Munir El Kajoui and El Mehdi Al Harrar.
The defensive line boasts experience and quality, featuring Achraf Hakimi, Noussair Mazraoui, Romain Saïss, Nayef Aguerd, and Jawad El Yamiq, supported by Mohamed Chibi, Abdelhamid Aït Boudlal, Adam Masina, and Anas Salah-Eddine.
In midfield, Regragui has called on Sofyan Amrabat, Azzedine Ounahi, Bilal El Khannous, Ismael Saibari, Oussama Targhalline, and Neil El Aynaoui to provide a blend of creativity, control, and dynamism.
The attacking unit is spearheaded by Ayoub El Kaabi, Youssef En-Nesyri, Brahim Díaz, and Abde Ezzalzouli, with Ilias Akhomach, Chemsdine Talbi, Soufiane Rahimi, and Eliesse Ben Seghir rounding out the options.
