Record champions Egypt have been placed in Group B of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) alongside South Africa, Angola, and Zimbabwe.
The draw for the tournament took place in Rabat, Morocco, on Monday, January 27, setting up exciting group-stage battles. Egypt, one of the tournament favourites, will look to add another title to their storied history when the competition kicks off.
The 2025 AFCON will begin on Sunday, December 21, and run until Sunday, January 18, 2026, when the final will be played.
With strong opposition in Group B, Egypt will need to be at their best to advance deep into the tournament and challenge for their eighth continental crown.
