Banyana Banyana captain Amogelang Motau says they will need togetherness to beat Ghana.
The two sides will clash on Monday in their opener of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) at the Honneur Stadium.
Speaking during a training session in Casablanca, Motau says they have done their assessment on the opponents and believe they are ready to resume with their WAFCON title defense.
“Again, the focus is mainly on us preparing for Ghana. We have been given an analysis of how they will come at us,” he said.
“We know that they are a very physical team, but again, they are ball players just like us. So we are trying to find ways on how we can break them down, and again we have been at training working on those things, and they are coming together,’’ said Motau.
Banyana arrived in Morocco last Wednesday to help fine-tune their preparations, with the tournament commencing in just two days.
Kick-off for the game has been scheduled at 17:00 GMT.
