2024 WAFCON: Stage set for exciting quarter-final showdowns

The stage is set for the quarter-finals of the 2024 CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

The last round of group matches was played on Monday night to wrap up Group C.

In the games played, South Africa ran riot to thump Mali 4-0 as the defending champions finished top of the group.

The Black Queens of Ghana in the other game of the day put on a show to hammer Tanzania 4-1 at the end of a pulsating contest.

With all the group games cleared, the quarter-final fixtures have been confirmed.

Host nation Morocco will take on Mali while defending champions South Africa battle Senegal.

In the other matchups, Ghana will face off with Algeria while Nigeria engage Zambia in what should be an epic showdown.
