Speaking ahead of the bronze medal match, the promising midfielder revealed that the team has fully prepared themselves mentally for the high-stakes encounter.
“We have mentally equipped ourselves for this game after undertaking the essential training, and we are set to perform on Friday,” she told the Ghana FA’s official website.
Nyamekye also took a moment to thank head coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren for trusting the younger players and giving them meaningful minutes during the tournament.
“First and foremost, I want to extend my gratitude to the coach for the chance he has provided us, the younger players. We have gained a lot from the senior team members, and we continue to learn and develop,” she said.
